Some great news: We can meet in person for church tomorrow (Sunday 7 Feb)! Yippee!
I’m really glad we can meet in person because we’re launching our new series on Spiritual Formation and it’s a Communion Sunday. Whew!
As we meet, please remember that we will be needing to sign in – either electronically via the QR Code, or manually on the register.
We will also need to maintain hygeine with hand washing & sanitising, and we will need to practice social distancing with no physical contact (i.e. avoid handshakes and hugs etc.)
In other news, this week we sent $500 from our budgeted MRBC Emergency Fund to the BCWA Baptist Relief Fund to go toward helping to support those who have been affected by the Perth bushfires. Let’s be praying for them please.
All things being equal, I’ll see you tomorrow at 10am! 🙂
Every blessing, Craig.
P.S. Here are some additional resources for your spiritual growth in light of our new series:
– A video talk on Spiritual Formation by Dallas Willard: https://youtu.be/i-ot2gZtfsQ (the talk begins at 00:30)
– The same talk in text format (if you prefer reading over watching): https://dwillard.org/articles/spiritual-formation-what-it-is-and-how-it-is-done.
– I’ve attached a brochure on Centering Prayer which is a Christian method of contemplative practice (from their website https://www.contemplativeoutreach.org/).
